Accountability in Finance (6 votes)
Senior people in the financial industry must be held accountable for the failures on "their watch".
However "experienced" they are, they should be officially banned from holding any kind of advisory role or high office in public or private companies. (Similar to the way a bankrupt individual is prevented from having a bank account).
This should be a legal restriction.

This was one of my contributions, but I don't know if "official banning" is the right mechanism. Rather, politicians (such as Obama) who make appointments that undermine accountability should be pressured, punished at the polls, demonstrated against, called out on it in the press, etc.
