Tax havens give opportunities to taxpayers to avoid or evade tax in their home countries. When individuals and companies evade their tax obligations, they deprive governments of revenues needed for schools, hospitals and other public spending projects.

We want India to support and join the US/German/French efforts of cracking down on Tax Havens.

The World Bank (2005) estimates that 456 million Indians (42% of the total Indian population) live under the global poverty line of $1.25 per day

An estimated $1.4 trillion of Indian black money which could be instrumental in the growth of India and Indians, is stashed in various Tax Havens.

We want the Indian Government to raise this issue with the G20 and work on auditing the Indian accounts in the Tax Havens and bring back the money for country's development. (focus on eradicating poverty & helping the needy).
